Samsung officially launched the new Galaxy S4 Zoom, a hybrid device that combined the full phone functionality of the Galaxy S4 smartphone and the versatile camera and video function of the Galaxy Camera.
The compact GALAXY S4 zoom is equipped with a 16 megapixel BSI CMOS Sensor and features a 10X optical zoom or 24mm to 240 mm focal length equivalent, which will allow the user to capture beautiful and high quality images from various distances in any given lighting conditions.
Furthermore, this cameraphone has a built-in Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS), which helps keep the camera perfectly still, reducing blur and stabilizing the image while zoomed in for high-quality photos and videos.
The Galaxy S4 Zoom cameraphone is built with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors at 540 X 960 pixels resolution and it is reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
This hybrid cameraphone runs on Android OS, v4.2.2 or popularly known as “Jelly Bean” and features powerful and intuitive user interface similar to features found in GALAXY S4.
It has Samsung’s latest Touchwiz UI, which lets you fully customize various features of your device including the lock screen and notification bar–for a truly personal mobile experience.
One interesting feature of this hybrid cameraphone is the revolutionary Zoom Ring, which allows the user to activate the In-Call Photo Share feature by letting the user in a middle of a call to take pictures and send it directly via MMS to whoever the user is talking.
The Zoom ring can also be used to activate the Quick Launch and Shortcut features providing access to multiple camera modes including Auto, Gallery and Smart Mode with a simple twist.
The Zoom Ring also revolutionizes conventional camera zoom controls with smooth, easy-to-operate digital controls providing professional-quality accuracy and ease of use with just a twist away, making it easy to compose a scene and capture wide-angle shots or tight close-ups.
It only weighs 208 grams allowing the user to comfortably take it anywhere, anytime, unlike the cumbersome DSLR camera gear.
