HMD Global introduces ‘all-screen’ Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1

“All-screen” phones are the craze today and Nokia has also joined the bandwagon. Home of Nokia phones HMD Global has finally introduced in the Philippines their own all-screen smartphones with the latest Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1.

Nokia 6.1 notable features

The Nokia 6.1 features a 5.8-inch full HD+ screen with 19:9 ratio. It is encased in glass on the front and back and the back is curved to provide a comfortable grip. It runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform. And similar to features promoted in a number of recently introduced Nokia handsets, the Nokia 6.1 is positioned as a good quality camera smartphone.

It has a 16MP/5MP dual-sensor rear camera that allows you to capture professional-style photos like subject shots with bokeh blur. Software in the smartphone brings more good photography features such as ability to adjust bokeh effect, advanced AI imaging, which includes fun filters, masks and 3D personas as well as portrait lighting. There’s also the HDR feature that brings photos to life through colour depth.

You can also capture highly detailed, mirror-like selfies with the 16MP front camera. Best of all, you don’t have to choose between the two, #Bothie mode can now apply AI enhancements on both cameras simultaneously with masks and filters and stream it live real-time to Facebook and YouTube directly from your camera app.

Nokia 5.1 Plus

The Nokia 5.1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor features edge-to-edge 5.8 inch HD+ display.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus features a pure design with 2.5D curved front and rear glass, complemented by curved edges and a CNC-machined metal camera bezel with an optical glass window and a high-gloss finish frame.

At 8mm thin, the ergonomic design with continuous curvature makes for the ultimate feel in the hand. The Nokia 5.1 Plus’s die-cast full metal chassis with a polycarbonate frame is quality tested in extreme temperatures and undergoes drop tests to ensure that it meets the exacting quality standards for a Nokia phone.

The advanced imaging allows you to capture studio-style shots with depth-sensing imaging, selectable bokeh blur and portrait lighting. The dual 13MP/5MP rear cameras with electronic video stabilization ensure that you film steady, sharp videos.
