Samsung has launched a premium ultra-thin laptop fitted with an optical drive and a super bright display, and powerful enough to run process intensive applications such as games.
Encased in a stunningly thin and compact aluminum chassis, the high-spec Series 7 CHRONOS comes with Intel’s Core i5 processor and ExpressCache technology and discrete AMD Radeon HD6750M graphics card.
ExpressCache technology provides an extra 8GB of flash memory on the motherboard to enable faster start-up as well as increased overall performance with up to two times faster web browsing and two seconds wake-up.
Incorporating Samsung’s latest ‘MAX screen’ technology, the Series 7 CHRONOS features a 15-inch display contained within the form factor traditionally associated with a 14-inch laptop.
The laptop’s anti-reflective display incorporates Samsung’s superior LCD technology, a display that delivers a next-generation HD+ (1600×900) high-resolution viewing experience and 300nit brightness or 16 million colors .
The Series 7 weighs just 2.17kg (4.78lbs) and is just 23.9mm thick. The performance of the Series 7 is further enhanced by the notebook’s extended battery life, which can last up to 8 hours on a single charge
It also features a backlit keyboard and Easy Migration application that enables guided data migration from the user’s previous PC using a USB connection, Wired LAN or WiFi network.
