HTC Butterfly S and HTC Desire 600 launched and priced in the Philippines

Smartphones are becoming an individual’s fashion statement and the trend is reinforced further by the recently launched HTC Butterfly S, HTC’s 5-inch-display device that now comes in attractive glossy colors of red, white, grey, and black.

With a suggested retail price of P37,590, the HTC Butterfly S is a powerful smartphone-slash-tablet, having some of the features of HTC’s flagship handset the HTC One.

Powered by a quad core Snapdragon 600 CPU (1.9 Ghz), it boasts of a Super LCD 3 display, UltraPixel camera, HTC BoomSound. The device’s 3200 mAh battery provides 659 hours of standby time.

HTC has positioned its top-of-the-line phones as professional-grade “camera phones” and the HTC Butterfly S is no exception.

The phone’s UltraPixel Camera can capture up to 300% more light than most 13 megapixel cameras in the market today. It also features a 28mm wide angle lens with an F/2.0 aperture.

The phone’s HTC Zoe feature shoots high-res photos in three-second snippets. It also enables advance editing such as sequence action shots and object removal to ensure that shots are “photo-bomb” free.

You can also make a 30-second mini movies through Video Highlights function. And the one-press sharing allows users to send the video with a simple screen tap.

The HTC BoomSound dual front-facing speakers feature built-in amplifiers. It’s also powered by Beats Audio, so you’d expect the sound coming out of it very loud but still rich and sharp.

HTC also launched the dual SIM capable handset the HTC Desire 600, which features a relatively lower price of P18,990.

The 4.5 inch display smartphone already runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core, 1.2GHz processor, and boasts a combination of leading-edge specs to maximize performance.

HTC Desire 600 features BlinkFeed (HTC’s new interface of live boxes or tiles representing apps that get live updates), Sense 5 UI, BoomSound and Video Highlights.
