Lenovo recently introduced in the Philippines the ThinkPad 8 tablet, which runs on Windows 8.1 and is positioned as a productivity tablet for business professionals.
It is currently available at Lenovo Exclusive Stores, SM North EDSA Think Exclusive Store, and Lenovo Corporate Resellers nationwide, at a suggest retail price of Php25,490.
Like ThinkPad laptops, the ThinkPad 8 tablet is pre-loaded with software such as Office Suite and utilities to maintain the health of the device and secure data inside.
It also inherited much of the looks and design of ThinkPad laptops and these include well-constructed form.
As a tablet, it has an impressive 1900 x 1200 pixel display and weighs less than half a kilogram. It is also a powerful tablet having been fitted with a fast quad core processor.
The ThinkPad 8 features multi-mode features–tent, laptop, tablet and desktop modes.
The ThinkPad 8 can be converted into a full-fledged PC via a USB 3.0 dock or monitor, enabling the user to create content effortlessly. With additional features like TPM 2.0, Mobile Device Management, Workplace Join, and an auto-triggered VPN function, the ThinkPad 8 offers enhanced security levels, so that professionals do not have to worry about data safety.
For an added productivity boost, users can also hook the tablet up with two monitors while in desktop mode and run separate programs on both screens.
The tablet’s battery life lasts up to eight hours on a single battery charge.
The ThinkPad 8 features an optional Quickshot cover, which activates the tablet’s camera with a swift flick of the corner flap. The cover can also prop the device up to provide better viewing angles for visuals and video calls.
