Mirror-less compact cameras with interchangeable lens are gaining a wide base of users among photography enthusiasts, prompting Japanese camera maker Olympus to produce more of its kind.
Olympus recently came out with improved and expanded family of PEN cameras or small cameras with interchangeable lens based on Micro Four Thirds System.
The flagship product PEN E-P3 is the third generation PEN that still maintains the classic all-metal design of the first digital PEN camera introduced in 2009.
Improvements include the incorporation of an OLED touchscreen to easily navigate and control the camera with a touch of the finger. In addition, the new compact camera features a faster autofocus and a 12.3 megapixel Live MOS Image Sensor.
It also features TruePic VI image processor, high ISO of 12,800, a reengineered autofocus system, full 1080i HD video with Dolby Digital sound recording, and Art Filters.
